#MANUU launches Satellite Campus in #Bidar
The Maulana Azad National Urdu University is to offer more academic and professional programmes through its satellite campuses.
It is a matter of great pleasure that MANUU has launched its new satellite campus at Bidar where Urdu population will have extended opportunity and subsequently employment, Union HRD Minister Dr. M. M. Pallam Raju said while laying the Foundation Stone at Ganesh Maidan here. The development of skill based, vocational and higher education are among the priority areas of the Union Government, he added.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah at the ceremony on Saturday asked the people of the area to take the benefit of the courses offered by MANUU. He also promised support and cooperation for Urdu University Satellite Campus of Bidar in every possible manner. Prof. Mohammad Miyan, Vice Chancellor of MANUU while presiding over the function thanked Dr. N. Dharam Singh, MP and Former Chief Minister of Karnataka and Dr. PC Jaffer, the Deputy Commissioner of Bidar for rendering support in acquiring the land for the University.
The Vice Chancellor also promised to launch ITI, Polytechnic and Teacher Training programmes from the very next academic session. Ashok Kheny, MLA Bidar )South( requested to open a main campus of the University instead of a satellite campus at Bidar. Dr. Khwaja M. Shahid, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. S. M. Rahmatullah, Registrar, Mr. Azhar Hussain Khan, Deputy Registrar, Dr. Mohammad Fariyad, I/c PRO & Media Coordinator were also present on the occasion. Dr. PC Jaffer, Deputy Commissioner of Bidar proposed the vote of thanks.
